Depending on the scope of your project and the amount of time you personally have to devote to it, we can tailor our services to meet your needs. We pride ourselves in maintaining a flexible working approach for each individual, and value the importance of each project, whether it is a simple paint consultation or a design scheme for an entire house. We maintain relationships with literally hundreds of vendors, and travel to market a few times a year in search of new additions to our already extensive resources. Because we have these resources on site, we are able to more effectively use our time to find products for your project. We are also happy to shop elsewhere for you, and have access to many trade only sources to virtually offer you unlimited options.
Below are some guidelines - please note that because of the unique elements of each project we would want have a comprehensive discussion with you before suggesting a particular package.
Retail Shopping:
Our showroom is open Tuesday through Friday from 9-4, and Saturdays from 12-3. Our enthusiastic staff is always available to assist you in choosing the perfect fabric, sofa or accessory. No appointment is necessary so please stop by for a visit.
Showroom Consultation:
If you need additional assistance, specific showroom appointments are available at a rate of $75. During this hour long appointment a member of the design staff will work with you exclusively. When scheduling, please provide us with a full description of your project so we can advise you what to bring with you for your appointment.
Single Room Home Consultation:
Single site consultations for one room within a 15 mile radius are $250, with one follow up appointment back at the showroom. During this showroom appointment we will review our ideas for your project, including colors, furniture styles, fabrics suggestions, etc. Floor plans are not included but may be done for an additional fee. Any additional appointments or phone calls/emails are billed at a rate of $75-$120 per hour. This is the perfect option for those clients who wish to shop for items on their own, and really just need a general design scheme.
Paint Only:
A one hour paint consultation takes place at the site for $200. Paint consults include the mailing of large sample swatches and a written scheme.
Single Room Home Consultation with additional assistance:You need more direct involvement and assistance from the design team. You would like a design plan, including layouts, finish and fabric selections. While it's highly probable that you will be shopping on your own for most items, you are also open to purchasing through HDC. You also need access to the design team through email and phone calls, as well as occasional showroom or site visits. You have a reasonable and realistic budget and are able communicate that information with the team. The initial consult rate for this service is $400, which includes a floor plan for the room as well as a follow up visit in the showroom. Depending on the scope of the project the rate for additional time is $40-$120 an hour. Purchases through HDC are discounted 20% off retail. You would be responsible for all freight and delivery charges.
Single/Multiple Room Home Consultation with full design services:You have limited time and/or desire to devote to your project, and want full design assistance. You need help with not just furnishings and color selection but may need suggestions on kitchens, plumbing, lighting layouts and exterior finishes. You plan on purchasing the majority of your items through HDC and need the design team to handle all aspects, from selection, ordering, installation and accessorizing. Your budget is more generous and you want more exclusive options, but still at a good price, and will agree to work on a retainer basis with monthly invoices. You will require many meetings, both onsite at showroom, as well as off site at various suppliers. A contract is required and there is a minimum design fee of $3,000 required for this service. The rate for the initial consult for this service is $350. Depending on the scope of the project rates range from $30-$100 an hour. Purchases through HDC are at our wholesale cost plus a 25% handling charge. You would be responsible for all freight and delivery charges.

eDecoratingI love shopping around on my own, and just need some direction on which way to go. I may need some ideas on placement or paint colors, and would love suggestions on some specific key items, but will be doing the majority of the work by myself. I have a limited budget which needs to be adhered to. I do not need an in home consultation as I can supply HDC with photos and measurements. Once I have a plan I can carry it out myself.
